Low Sodium Brownies for a Crowd

Brownies are a crowd-pleasing favorite. Who can say no? Even better when the brownies are homemade and low in sodium to be a little more heart-healthy.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. sodium-free baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Beat butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs in a large bowl.
  3. Mix in cocoa, flour and baking powder.
  4. Stir to combine.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips.
  6. Pour into greased 9x13-inch baking pan.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 20-22 minutes.

Let cool before cutting into 2-inch squares.
